In this week, we had learnt about internet. In 1995, the internet
was completely commercial. Hence ARPANET is the US department of defense wanted
to develop a computer network that could withstand nuclear attack. By the way,
Internet is the largest network in the world that connects hundreds thousands of
individual network all over the world or as known as “Information Highway”. There
are many usage of the Internet such as can send email, upload or download
files, surfing the internet and etc.
Hence, there are 7 layers of the OSI (Open System Interconnection)
model that is the first is Physical, Data Link, Network, Transports, Session, Presentation,
and the last is Application. In this topic, we had learnt many new things about
the Internet. Besides that, we also need to have protection software that is
absolutely essential for a PC running Microsoft windows.
I think that all from me today and do not forget to smile… ^_^
